- The Prodigal Son
- One day, a father and his two sons were heading to their company's office for a normal day at work. It was a family owned business, a father and two sons. Both the oldest son, Robert and the younger son James were always planned to take over the company. Robert was more fond of this idea than James.
- The youngest son James asked to speak to his father, the company owner in the meeting room to discuss a serious topic.
- I just want to have some more freedom, and I feel that this is the best way for me to find it.
- Father, I have been thinking about this a lot. Can you please give me access to my inheritance money.
- Yes, I can give it to you, but what for?
- Within the next few days, James received access to his inheritance and decided to leave the city right away. He told very few people, and purchased a fancy new car for his new adventure.
- Over the next few weeks, James spent all of his inheritance on unnecessary items. To the point where he was struggling to pay for food.
- Later that day at a convenience store...
- I can barely afford to by a cheap dinner anymore. Do I return home? If so how will dad react? I don't think I am worthy of going home. I will have to tell him I have sinned against God and him and that I do not deserve to be welcomed back.
