- Hello, my name is Frankie the tortoise. I live on a dry island
- In drier environments, some tortoises with a shell with no peak at the front cannot reach the only food source-cacti fruit and flowers.
- The tortoise with less of a peak at the front of their shell can't eat when only cacti fruit is avaliible, so they die out leaving the tortoise with peaks at the front of their shells
- This leaves only the tortoises with peaks at the front of their shell.
- Then these tortoises have many babies that can actually reach the food!(btw, frankie died bc he didn't have the peak in his shell)
- Natural Selection: The zebra stripes acted as a form of camouflage against predators such as lions. Lions are colorblind so its harder for them to see zebras; making it easier to survive.

- There are 3 species of zebras (Grevy's Zebra, Plains Zebra, and the Mountain Zebra) in the world. However, over thousands of years, genetic mutations that alter the production of melanin is creating rare spotted and oddly striped zebras.
