- As Reese's and Jude's relationship starts to develop, Reese shared his love of photography with Jude and what he liked taking photos of, "Sometimes he snapped pictures of her, always candids, Jude lingering in the background, staring off into space" (Bennett 107). Reese did not like taking photos of some things because beauty bores him, but he also thinks Jude is beautiful.

- What is something the character cannot do?
- Because Reese is transgender, he needs to wear a chest binder so he can pass as cis, "It's not about you" (Bennett 118). Jude says that she does not care what he looks like without the binder, but because it is so personal to Reese, he gets angry at her because she does not understand.
