- Mary Maloney is six months pregnant and is waiting for her husband Patrick to come back home from work. Whilst Mary waits for Patrick to come home she decides to do some knitting. Patrick comes home at 5 pm every day because he is a police officer.

- Patrick has come home and this makes mary excited. She makes him a drink, and she asks him about dinner. Patrick announces that he has something to say to Mary.

- You guys should eat the lamb that is cooking
- Mary's reaction to what Patrick said made her angry. This made mary go to the basement and grab a leg of ham. When she came back up from the basement she went over to her husband and hit him on the back of the head with the frozen leg ham which killed him.

- Where would the murder weapon it would have to be so close, what do you think?
- In order for mary not to get caught, she goes to the shops and buys the normal ingredients MAry was going to cook for her husband. Whilst doing this she was practicing her speech for the police. The checkout person did not suspect a thing.

- Since Mary had gone to the shops it gave her the perfect alibi to prove that she wasn't home at the time and someone had come in and killed her husband. The Polic went to the shops to verify this.
- Since she had been cooking the lamb, she asked the police to eat it. They were discussing on how clueless they were about the murder weapon as they were eating it.
