  • Wow that is so much especially in this time of a pandemic business is bad but will get back to you soon, i will meet up with the board first
  • Employees are complaining and they want a raise in their salaries of about at least 5% but they can settle for 4,1% since they did not have raise in the past two years so i thought as their shop steward i must bring this situation to you before meeting with the union
  • unfortunately time is what employees dont have as they also need money because they do put it the work as required
  • Sorry these things take time unfortunately the board said they need more time because they must reconsider so many things inside the business
  • Our workers are not happy at all with their salaries, also to admit it they complaints are very valid, i am also suffering with salary as inflation is quite increasing dramatically

  • I also agree, an increase is long over due,if the employer will not attend to our demands we have to freeze all production and go on strike
  • the employer must come to an effect immediately and bring an offer to the table because it is clear that our employees are really struggling
  • In this frame the shop steward is telling one of the employers whose representing his aboard about the issues the employees are complaining about before taking the situation any further to the trade union to see if will they agree on something. This is were by a centralised board bargaining i taking place
  • As you know what gathers here is the negotiation of the minimum wage that is being faced by our workers.

  • after the negotiations we have opted to at least to an increase of 4% and that will include some adjustments in housing allowances.
  • on this frame there is a local meeting taking place, the shop steward is addressing the issue of the employees that they were complaining about and this is a meeting of a trade union, and according Labour Relations Law which states a Trade Union as an association of employees, whose main purpose is to relations between the employers and employees.

  • on this frame we see the one of the employers, chairperson and shop steward on a meeting in starting of negotiations
  • All we want to see from these negotiations is a common sense agreement of which we all agree on something that will work for all of us
  • on this frame the employer is highly disagreeing with the 5%% as they say they can afford a 2,5% and are trying to negotiate to go down
  • I certainly agree on that one because our employees must be able to afford their daily needs and be able to put food on the table because we must take are of them as they work hard for the business
  • on this frame the employer has negotiated in bad faith and has reduced the 5% and he has proposed an increase of 2,5% to the board which made the meeting to be adjorned as the union could not accept anything that is less than 4%, The negotiations at this point have hit a deadlok and another meeting has been scheduled for tommorrow to try and find applicable solutions or strike might take place
  • So you us to sit here while you belittle us, if we cant agree on this 4% then we do not have any other option other than to strike
