- Once upon a time, in a palace..
- ..there lived a wise king.He was well guarded and his kingdom loved him. He even had a good son.
- Unfortunately, there was an evil witch in the kingdom. She and the king had been long-standing enemies. She lived in a dungeon deep underground, which is why nobody could ever find her hideout.
- The reason the king and the witch were such big enemies was because the witch had stolen almost everything in the royal treasury. Most of it was gold, including a solid gold statue of the late queen, but there was also a huge blue diamond the size of someone's palm.
- But the diamond had a terrible secret known only by the king. After finding the diamond in a mine, the king sent it for polishing. Unfortunately, the jeweller dropped it into a river. Now, this wouldn't be so bad, but the river had been tainted by some potions that were spilled in there by the alchemist. Hence, the diamond became capable of mass destruction. After the king found it floating the river, he realized what had happened to it, and hid it away in the treasury, telling this to only his son. If the witch knew, the kingdom would be in great danger. Unfortunately, it would come back to bite him.
- One day, while in a walk with his son, the king and his son both got kidnapped and knocked unconscious by the witch. When they woke up, they saw that they were in a dungeon full of lava pools, with the only exit blocked off by a raging fire and sharp stalactites
