But unfortunately, they couldn't work out the middle posuk because when Rav Yosef asked if it applied to both sides, they didn't know amd they didn't look in the torah because Rav Raba bar abba pointed out that the torah might have slightly changed since the jews received it at sainai so they couldn't be sure.
