  • I worked on a short-term request recently, but now I feel that a lot more could have been done...I don't know, but just couldn't think of anything then

  • Oh no!... remember all requests have the potential for scope expansion...it's all about how deep you are able to think about additional aspects that could be important to the client and if you are unable to, reach out to your manager
  • Ok...but how do it for every request?... what should I do to get ideas for scope expansion
  • I can give a few best practices that will be helpful1. Always connect with the requester on a call/virtually to get more context and clarity2. Before going into the call, read about the topic to develop an understanding of the broad topic, which covers the request3. Post getting additional context, identify the gap between the client objective and the task allocated to you 4. Suggest solution(s) to bridge the gap between the task and objective
