  • Act 1 Scene1 Two guards were on duty one night and saw a strange phantom that appeared to be a ghost they later invited another guard to conform their assumptions named 'Horatio". The next night the ghost came back and they saw that it was the late king hamlet.
  • Go spy on the prince
  • Act 1 Scene 2 :The guards go to report to Prince Hamlet about the phantoms that they witnessed the night before and they invited him to come the next night to come see what they believe to be the ghost of his late father King Hamlet.

  • Act 1 Scene 5:The ghost came back that night and revealed himself only to Hamlet to confirm that he is in fact the ghost of his dead father and came to tell the real truth behind his murder. He revealed that it was his brother King Cludias that poisoned him in his sleep and took his crown, queen, and his life. He seeks Hamlet to avenge him for the wrongdoings.

  • Act 2 Scene 2: Polonius (Ophelia dad Hamlet love interest) infers Hamlet have gone mad because he pursued Ophelia with to much interest to be a prince he seemed lovesick over her which was suspious so he decided to spy on Hamlet when he interacts with his daughter to confirm his assumptions.
  • Act 2 Scene 2;King Claudius sends Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to spy on Hamlet because he is worried about Hamlet's strange behavior. He hopes they can find out why Hamlet is acting so strangely. Claudius wants to maintain control and stability in his kingdom.
  • Act3 Scene 1:Hamlet is contemplating the value of enduring life's hardships versus ending his own existence. He ponders whether it's more courageous to confront challenges or to avoid them by considering the option of suicide.
  • Act 3 Scene 1:With the pressure of Hamlet trying to plan out how to avenge his father he takes out his frustrations on Ophelia and he expresses his disillusionment with women, accuses Ophelia of being deceitful, and tells her to go to a nunnery to avoid corrupting others.

  • Act 3 Scene 2:Hamlet decided to put on play that plays out the events that occurred the night of the murder of his late father to draw out a guilty reaction from the king (his uncle) to confirm that Claudius his guilty for the murder. When the actors arrive he gave them a run down of the play.

  • Act 3 Scene 2:As the play unfolds, Claudius becomes visibly distressed, validating Hamlet's suspicions regarding his involvement in the murder. This confirmation intensifies Hamlet's determination to avenge his father's death.

  • Act3 Scene 2:After Claudius abruptly ends the play, he feels uneasy and disturbed because the play mirrors his own guilt and actions regarding the murder of King Hamlet.

  • Act 3 Scene 3:When Hamlet discovers his uncle Claudius praying following the play, he opts against murdering him. Hamlet fears that if he were to kill Claudius while he is praying, his soul might ascend to heaven, which would not align with the vengeance he desires for his father's murder. Instead, Hamlet desires Claudius to endure punishment in the afterlife for his sins.

  • In Act 3, Scene 4 of "Hamlet," Hamlet mistakenly kills Polonius, thinking he is Claudius spying on their conversation. Following Polonius's death, Hamlet confronts his mother, Queen Gertrude, criticizing her hasty marriage to Claudius and implicating her in his father's murder. Gertrude, alarmed by Hamlet's accusations, attempts to understand his anger and reasoning.
  • Act 4 Scene 3:After the death of Polonius, which intensifies the threats to his reign, Claudius decides to send Hamlet to England. He views Hamlet's behavior as increasingly dangerous and wants to remove him from Denmark to eliminate any potential threats to his power and to keep Hamlet under control.
  • Act 4 Scene7: Claudius and Laertes(Polonius son) devise a plan to use a poisoned sword during a fencing match between Laertes and Hamlet. They intend to make the match seem like an accident, ensuring Hamlet's demise while avoiding suspicion of foul play. This is conspired because Claudius fears that his crown is at stake and Laertes seeks revenge for his father's death.
  • Act 4 Scene 7:Ophelia's is driven by the loss of her father, Hamlet cold shoulder, and her rejection she become so overwhelmed she takes her own life by drowning herself in a stream.

  • Act 5 Scene 1 :Prior to Ophelia's suicide the gravediggers are having a conversation on why does she still get a "Christian" burial even through she committed a "sin" by killing herself and they believe it's only because of her status.

  • After returning from England, Hamlet talks to a gravedigger while watching Ophelia's grave being dug in Act 5, Scene 1 of "Hamlet." Their conversation delves into death, mortality, and humanity's nature, reflecting Hamlet's philosophical nature. Hamlet contemplates death's inevitability and its equality among people, realizing that worldly distinctions hold little importance in the face of mortality

  • During the graveyard scene in "Hamlet" (Act 5, Scene 1), Laertes discusses Ophelia's Christian burial with the priest, expressing worry about the appropriateness of the service due to her suspected suicide. The priest tries to reassure Laertes that Ophelia will receive a respectful Christian burial, regardless of the circumstances surrounding her death.

  • Act 5 Scene 1: As Hamlet watched from a far he found out that Ophelia his whose grave that was dug and he expresses deep sorrow and remorse.

  • Act 5 Scene 1:Laertes and Hamlet argue at Ophelia's gravesite about who loved her more and who has the right to grieve for her. Laertes accuses Hamlet of being responsible for Ophelia's madness and death, while Hamlet insists that he loved Ophelia deeply and genuinely.

  • In Act 5, Scene 2 of "Hamlet," Hamlet finally confronts Claudius. During the fencing match, Hamlet manages to wound Claudius with the poisoned sword.
  • In Hamlet's final moments with Horatio, he asks his friend to tell his story and ensure that the truth of what occurred is revealed. Hamlet expresses his belief that Fortinbras should become the next king of Denmark. Before dying, Hamlet forgives Laertes for his role in his demise, asking Horatio to relay his final wishes and to remember him well. Hamlet dies by a poisoned stab wound and a drink from the poisoned drink.
  • Act 5 Scene 2 :After Hamlet's death, Horatio is left to recount the events that led to the tragedy of Hamlet's demise to Fortinbras, the Prince of Norway. Horatio tells Fortinbras about the royal succession and suggests that Fortinbras should take the Danish throne, considering the deaths of Hamlet, Claudius, and the others.
  • THE END: Hamlet is taken by Horatio and Fortinbras for his final rest.
