- In this scene of Chapter 5, Gatsby and Daisy are both in nick's living room and are talking about how long ago they knew each other. Gatsby breaks Nicks clock at one point. The tone of the scene was awkward. The meeting between Daisy and Gatsby went very differently from what Gatsby thought was going to happen.
