- *Yawns* That was a long nap, I wonder what has changed.
- Wow I should go do this!
- Hey man! How did you get that silk, aren't you a peasant?
- The plague?
- Yeah, the plague killed most of us peasants and now the nobles need us to feed them and so they can pay the king.
- Didn't you catch on? Most of us died from the plague and now the nobles need us.
- Now we can use that leverage to get better pay and treatment.
- Wow there are lots of shops!
- Hi, do you know why there are so many shops?
- Yeah, after we were needed by nobles we could negotiate better pay.
- Parlor
- Now after getting payed more I was able to afford my own shop and make some money of my own.
- Hello.
- Yeah and now that us women have more rights me and my friends can join guilds and setup shop.
- I don't have to anymore, after my land lord died I was allowed to run this place.
- Good for you!
- Hey Maria, shouldn't you be reporting to your land lord?
- Hey didn't a Jewish man run this place?
- No, can you tell me?
- When the plague started people wanted to blame somebody. So they blamed Jewish sorcery and women for the plague.
- Maybe a while back, didn't you hear what happened to the Jewish?
- As a result, many women were abused and Jewish communities were destroyed. The Jewish were forced to flee east.
- That's horrible!
- Yeah, It's all because of the church. They were not able to protect us during the plague and they started pointing fingers in panic. Now my friends have not been trusting them.
