- Lynn pulled at the dog's tail and shouted, "Run Katie, run!" I ran hearing the dog growling and Lynn grunting.
- "i got the milk bottle out of the fridge and ran toward Lynn and threw the bottle at the dog."
- our mother looked at us suspiciously. She didn't like it when we whispered. She thought that meant we were gossiping, and she was against whispering.
- In this scene, Lynn is grabbing the dogs tail. She's trying to help Katie get away as soon as possible before it gets her. This shows how much Lynn loves her and how devoted she is to her. You can tell that Lynn would probably almost do anything for her little sister.
- we rode with our parents for a while after that. they didn't talk for two whole hours.
- In this scene, Katie is throwing the milk at the dog. It was going after Lynn and she tried helping her get away as quick as she could. This shows that for a young girl, Katie is very brave. She would also do anything for her sister because she cares about so deeply.
- In this scene, the mother is looking at Katie and Lynn quietly talking to each other. Lynn was saying how she wasn't sure their uncles truck would make it up their drive-way, let alone Georgia. Their mother clearly doesn't like it, and it shows that she has high expectations for her daughters. She is a strict yet also calm person.
- in this scene, Katie and Lynn went back into their parents car after taking a to go outside and stretch. After that, no one talked for a long time. this shows how quiet their father is. He is the complete opposite of his brother.
- In this scene, Lynn and Katie's uncle tells them that he could teach them how to spit, to kill the time. This shows how he can be a really fun uncle, and hes very flexible. The Uncle probably doesn't have many rules and doesn't put a lot of thought into it before saying or doing something.
- "I could teach you guys to spit like a master."
