- As the story begins Anakin Skywalker is •Overly Confident at a young age, which gets him into trouble.
- HUBRIS
- Anakin's hubris shows itself in •His constant desire to win at all costs •His inability to take advice or criticism from adults or others
- PERIPETEIA
- While Anakin is living a fairly good life, learning to be a Jedi, the Force tells him his mother is in danger. He later finds that •She has been kidnapped and torture by a group of raiders •Anakin attempts to find her, but is too late. She is too injured and dies in his arms.
- The flaw that causes the downfall
- ANAGNORISIS
- Anakin has a good life. He falls deeply in love with, and marries, Padmé. He is also doing well in his also moving along i his Jedi training. Sadly, he discovers •Padmé will die during child birth •The Jedi Council denies him the rank of Jedi Master •Supreme Chancellor Palpatine is really Sith Lord Darth Sidious
- Extreme Pride
- NEMESIS
- In an attempt to save Padmé's life and rule the galaxy, his pride and phobia of loss lead him to • Join the Dark Side and become Darth Vader
- Reversal of fortune
- CATHARSIS
- In the end, the viewer is left feeling •Fear •Pity •Sadness •Curiosity
- When the hero makes a critical discovery
- Fate that cannot be reversed
- Tone (Pity or Fear) the audience is left with after the hero's fall
