  • I am Daniel Ellsberg !
  • At the end of June 1971, we learned that a certain Daniel Ellsberg was behind the leaks of the pentagon's papers: he surrendered himself to the authorities. "The most dangerous man in America" as the nickname at the time of the head of American diplomacy Henry Kissinger, is none other than a former collaborator of the Department of Defense.
  • Ellsberg releases the documents to the New York Times, which prefers to publish the story against the advice of the newspaper's lawyers. Prosecuted, Daniel Ellsberg is acquitted: illegal searches in the office of his psychoanalyst and the recording of his personal telephone conversations make it impossible to continue the trial.
  • Here's the douments
  • FINALLY WE GOT IT !
  • Washington a "leak case" son. The publication by the New York Times of an ultra-secret document retracing the origin of the American military commitment had the effect of a bombshell in the White House. The scandal is likely to have significant political consequences just days before the Senate vote on the Hatfield-McGovern amendment, the aim of which is to limit the powers of the chief executives in the conduct of war.
