We went into the house and began to eat dinner. That fellow says that he does not eat pork due to being Muslim. Dee though she found happiness in eating the food. Dee went on and on about how great the benches were for the table. Her dad made the benches. She then hopped out her seat and asked for the butter churn. Maggie then began to whisper about the dash. Dee (Wangero) then says Maggie's brain is like an elephants. Dee began to ramble thru the chest. She found the quilts that her grandmother made. She asked for those as well. Maggie then dropped something, and slammed the door because she was upset. I offered Dee the other quilts that we made, but she only wanted the ones that had old pieces of Big Dee's dresses. I told her honestly I have already promised the quilts to Maggie once she gets married. Dee then says she would just use them for Everyday Use. Maggie goes ahead and says Mama she can have them. I can remember Grandma Dee without having quilts. Something then hit me like lightening, and I hugged Maggie and sat the quilts in her lap. I told Dee you just get 2 of the others. Dee then turned to leave and told Maggie and me we don't understand our heritage. She then got in the car with her sunglasses on and left.
