- The beginning where Olive and Adam meet. Olive is adjusting her expired contacts when Adam comes in and starts asking her questions.
- While at the science lab, Olive sees her best friend Anh, Olive wanted to prove to Anh that she was over her ex and wouldn't care if Anh dated him. And as Anh was coming towards her area, she did the first thing she thought of and kissed a strange man.
- After the kiss, Adam was shocked and grossed out at the same time. He started arguing with Olive, over the fact that she never asked for his consent and she had just harassed him. Olive tries to defend herself but in the end keeps apologizing for what she did.
- A few days later, Olive's best friend Anh corners her in the lab and wants an explanation, but before she could Adam comes to the rescue and claims that Olive and him are a thing and acts all warm and nice to Olive. They both start fake dating because of that.
- Adam introduces Olive to his friend Tom Benton. since Tom really wanted to know who his friend was dating and kept talking about. It turned out that Tom Bentonwas working at Harvard as a professor. Olive then applies to work at his lab but has to go through an extreme process.
- Olive later on decides to break things off with Adam since she thinks its the best thing to do. She was going through a lot of problems so it made sense for her to break things off. Sooner or later Adam and Olive get back together again but this time nothing is separating them. They eventually end up getting married in the end.
