- A group of friends that live in an orphanage discuss their plans to escape. So that they can attempt to find the reason for a deadly sickness that spreads around the orphanage from time to time and search for a shipwreck that is apparently buried in the caves under the island.
- Gunnar begins picking the lock after the group uses the machine to break through the wire. Ryan is tied up because they needed him to pretend to be sick in order to get the adults in the orphanage to stay away from the others in the group.
- The group escaped the orphanage undetected but with Ryan still unconscious they couldn't bring him into the cave. The rest of the group went in while Gunnar stayed behind to look at the sunset until Jerome called for him.
- They travel through the cave and find the shipwreck. Inside they see three boxes and they open the one on the right first expecting to find gold. The only thing in the box is a wasps nest and it begins to make noise.
- A red hornet emerges from the nest and kills Jerome then a bunch more come out and chase them onto the shore killing Aliah, Ryan, and Carmine while Cole and Gunnar barely survive.
- Gunnar wakes up from blacking out with Ryan's dead body on the side. Cole says some things in a voice that isn't his and then falls down in a heap. Then Gunnar notices the city is on fire
