- This represents the companionship and the friendship between the two men because even though George killed Lennie he did it despite of feeling bad and scared for him. This shows that he wanted the best for Lennie and he did what he thought he had to do. Lennie and Geroge's friendship was rare during their time so them having kind of relationship was good from both sides.
- This represents the companionship and the friendship between Geroge and Lennie because it shows the loyalty that Geroge kept with Lennie. He always sticks by Lennie's side and never gives up on him. Even when he does something that ruins their lives together. So, all of this shows what kind of real friends they are.
- This represents the companionship and the friendship between the two men because Geroge is trying to back Lennie up by being on his side and explaining to Slim that Lennie didn't mean to crush Curely's hand. George is always backing up Lennie and protecting him in front of others.
