Manifest Destiny defined in the Dictionary is the 19th-century doctrine or belief that the expansion of the US throughout the American continents was both justified and inevitable.

Along with this there was belief of God's involvement making the move possible and further justifying their actions for the name of their religious lord.

During the expansion of Manifest Destiny many settlers traveled up the West though this did result in the Indian removal act where they forced Indians off their land to make room for the white men even at times committing massacres to get them off of the land. the Indian removal act started since the Indians posted as an obstacle for the white settlers during the western expansion so they were removed. though not all Indians died those that lived had to give up their land to the settlers to avoid getting moved forcefully or killed.

Although the western expansion was horrendous for the Indians involved to the white settlers they were making advantages to the western expansion. A couple of examples of the benefits of expanding West is increased good, service, wealth, doubled land area of US, and increase of land. The settlers expanded to gain more land and better opportunities along with an increase in resources which they did succeed in but with that had to push the Indians off of their land to use theirs.
