- It was November 7, 2017. It'd only been a few months since school started. Tanajah and Aaliyah had been sitting in homeroom, waiting for their first block.

- The first block had begun. As the class started to converse waiting for the teacher to start class, Tanajah started to feel left out
- Hey guys! did you get the invite to my party?
- Invite? What invite? How come I wasn't invited
- Yes! I'll be there!

- Seeing that all of her friends were invited to a party that she wasn't made her feel sad. As she thought about this it started to affect her day.
- First block was over., After feeling so left out and unrecognized, Tanjaah started to feel a little better after realizing that her best friend, Shanice was in this block with her.
- Hey, bestfriend.. you heard about the party everyone's going to?
- Ty'reek birthday party? Yeah girl, you going ?
- School was now over. As everyone went to their lockers to pack up their belongings; Tanajah, annoyed by everything, ignored everyone for the rest of the day.
- Hey, Tee.. Why the sad face?
- Jackson, just leave her alone.
- Maybe he just forgot to send you yours. I won't go, if it makes you feel any better
- When Tanajah got home she told her mom everything that happened.
- Don't take it personally. You don't know if he forgot to send you yours or not.
