I'm James Monroe and have been elected the fifth president of the United States.
This was a really tough win considering I had no opposition from neither my fellow Democratic- Republicans or the Federalist party.
McCulloch vs. Maryland- 1819
The Supreme Court has now ruled the rights of the federal government to charter a national bank.
These powers were surely implied by the Constitution.
The Battle of New Orleans takes place in 1815, it is a major national win for the United States, being the last official battle against Britain. The leadership of Andrew Jackson leads him to extreme popularity among citizens.
Missouri Compromise- 1820
The Missouri Compromise has been established by congress!

The United States has now officially declared that we will not be involved in European affairs.

Election of 1824
Congress establishes the Missouri Compromise which confirms that Maine would be made a free state and Missouri a slave state. Any territory beneath the 36 30' line was allowed to own slaves.
Maine will now be a free state and Missouri a slave state. If you're below the 36 30' line you can have all the slaves you want.
The Monroe Doctrine called for Europe to not be involved in the affairs of the Western Hemisphere and vice versa.

In the election of 1824 none of the four candidates received the majority of electoral votes. Adams was eventually elected president by the House of Representatives.
