- Odysseus and his men paid tribute by digging a trench and filling it with milk & honey, wine, water, and barley meal. Then they promised to sacrifice a calf. They sent the blood of two sheep into the trench, attracting many ghosts.

- After Odysseus and Elpenor conversed, Odysseus's mother visited him, followed by Teiresias.
