  • And so, good Capulet, which name I tender. As dearly as my own, be satisfied
  • Tybalt you ratcatcher, will you walk?
  • Gentlemen, for shame outbid this outrage! Hold, Tybalt! Good Mercutio!
  • No, 'tis not so deep as a well, nor so wide as a church door, but 'tis enough.
  • Courage, man, the hurt cannot be much
  • Here Tybalt finds Romeo in the streets, and tries to challenge him to a fight for crashing his Uncles party. But Romeo declines and says he loves him. And so instead, Mercutio takes the fight with Tybalt.
  • This day's black fate on more days doth depend. This but begins the woe others must end
  • O Romeo, Romeo, brave Mercutio is dead. That gallant spirit hath aspired the clouds.
  • Romeo then tries to stop the fighting, but it doesn't help. And Tybalt stabs Mercutio underneath Romeo's arm.
  • Thou wretched boy that didst consort him here. Shalt with him hence.
  • Now, Tybalt, take the "villian" back again. That late thou gavest me, for Mercutio's soul.
  • Mercutio then starts to make jokes about him being hurt after the battle. But people don't actually realize that Mercutio was hurt, and he eventually dies soon after.
  • O noble prince, I can discover all. The unlucky manage of this fatal brawl. There lies the man, slain by young Romeo. That slew thy kinsman, brave Mercutio.
  • Romeo slew him; he slew Mercutio. And for that offence. Immediately we do exile him hence.
  • After Benvolio tells Romeo that Mercutio had died, Romeo is in an absolute fit of rage, he says that because Tybalt killed Mercutio, Tybalt would have to pay.
  • Romeo, filled with rage after Mercutio's death. Decides to challenge Tybalt to a fight to avenge Mercutio. After a long battle, Romeo comes out on top and kills Tybalt. Then after realizing what he had done, he ran away.
  • Both dead Tybalt and Mercutio are taken to the prince to decide what happens. Benvolio honestly describes the story to the Prince and tells him Romeo ran away. The Prince then exiles Romeo from Verona. If Romeo is ever found in town again, he will be treated as a criminal and killed.
