  • 14th September 1975, 50 marchers leave Te Hāpua
  • Not one more acer.
  • 23rd of September 1975 the gathering of more marchers to the Government building
  • As the other marches tried to meet up.
  • We will meet whinia cooper soon lets do this.
  • The person in the middle with the hood is called Whina cooper. Wihina cooper led 50 protesters who left Te hapu on a mission to go to wellington and to confront the government about the treaty.
  • Overnight stays at Marie's.
  • 23rd of September 1975 the people united and the demand of not one more acre of land which means that not any more eland to be taken from Maori. This shows how the team of protests started to gain more followers while whinia copper still leads them.,
  • 10th of October Waitangi tribunal established
  • The Waitangi tribunal law.
  • Between September the 30th of September and the fifth of October many followers were also starting to come to meet whinia cooper in wellington.
  • 13th of October 1957 marchers arrive in wellington
  • During every night of the march, the marchers would stay in marae's that they would stay overnight in and continue the march. When the people were resting whinia Copper would explain to all of the marches the purpose of this 1000km walk to the parliament building in wellington
  • KEY-On the left is the minister of the labour government on the right is Matiu Rata On 1975 10th of October the labour government and Matiu Rata set up the Waitangi Tribunal while minister of Māori affairs. It was thought that the British breached the treaty in 1840 when it was signed. The Tribunal was created because so the Maori can claim the breaches of the treaty.
  • As Whinia cooper makes the speech of the 13 of October and as 5000 people arrived at the wellington parlement building they were against how the government leader bill owling breached the Waitangi act.
