- It was then that inventions such as the T-Model Car became affordable and mass-produced. In the United States, Henry Ford produced an automobile which was affordable enough for the average person to afford to purchase. Modern America consumer culture was born as a result of the sudden availability of cheap credit, which led to the buying of luxury items by many people during this time.
- Time to spend some money!
- The U.S became confident and arrogant about their financial giant. Share prices rose, and people began to invest in the American stock market, to make money. Lots of people invested they're life savings into Americas banks for stocks and shares. This caused many immigrants to move to American cities to share this increase in wealth of industrial activity.
- HEY! NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED
- Women had been given the right to vote just after the war causing people's ideas about what women could or couldn't do were changing. "Flappers" as they were known for were a bunch of fashionably young women who embraced they're new freedom. Many women had joined the workforce in WW1 and after the war became these "flappers" and would smoke, drink, dance like the men did with no shame. This influenced also influenced fashion were women cut their hair short and wore shorter dresses which later resulted in the probation of alcohol.
