Siddharta was born into a rich life and his father wanted him to be a king.
Siddhartha leaves the palace
Siddharta grew up, most of his life locked in a palace not able to see the outside world. He wasn't able to see any suffering.
Gotama, holy man
Siddharta was able to sneak out of the place and find a old poor man who was suffering.
Siddharta became upset and decided to leave the palace and his son, until he had found enlightenment
Gotama then went to live as a holy man, with no money, clothes, or luxury. He didn't eat much and he was close to death.
Gotama wouldn't give up. He sat underneath a Bodhi tree and meditated. He was determined to find the truth. While he was under the tree he was sent a lot of temptations by Mara, the force of evil. The next morning he saw things differently in a different way, He was enlightened and was supreme Buddha.
