- As Rainsford tries to lunge for his pipe, he slips off the rail and falls into the ocean, the night and ocean consume his body.
- Climax
- Rainsford spends the whole night in the ocean, he hears the sound of an uncanny animal, he swims towards it eventually ending up on an island.
- Falling Action
- Rainsford finds himself stumbling into a massive tower type building. He is greeted with a giant who is at first threatening, but than a slender figure appears behind him, telling the giant to lower his guard. What would entail for Rainsford would be a shock to all.
- Resolution
- The hunt begins for Rainsford, the first night he is spotted by Zaroff. Rainsford goes deeper and deeper the next night, and plants a trap. The trap was a Burmese Tiger pit. One of Zaroff's dog gets eliminated by the trap. Zaroff becomes intrigued.
- Rainsford makes a break for it, Zaroff on his tail. He finds himself at a cliffside over an ocean. He decides to throw himself into the ocean. The sun was almost down, and Zaroff didnt feel like hunting in the night. He decided to go back to his estate.
- After Rainsford jumps into the ocean, he swims around to Zaroff's property. After he breaches Zaroff's property, he wants to end his sick ways. Rainsford kills Zaroff.
