- Good morning 7C , today we will start working on 09 story variables. if you are confused please raise your hand if you are confused or need help and i will be there !!
- Mr. Drury can i please have some help i do not understand what every variable is and means.
- lets say there was an experiment where you had two different cups and you would jump off a chair on to them to see what happens to the cups . the independent variable would be the cup because you can change the cup to whichever one you want.
- Lets first start off with the independent variable. an independent variable is when doing an experiment you can change or control during an experiment .
- a dependant variable is something that depends on an independent variable. in this case the dependant variable would be the ability to resist the mass of my body's load . it is the dependant variable because it depends on the type of cup and the type of cup is a independent variable.
- A control variable is something that stays controlled throughout the whole experiment. in this experiment the control variable could be my weight,what im wearing and the weight of the cup because those are all things that stay controlled by the experiment.
