- Kolya and lev are taken to mansion where the head of the NKVD are stationed. There they meet the colonel and tells them if they want to keep their lives they need to get a dozen eggs for the colonel daughters weeding. And if they succeed they will be promised their lives
- This is the scene in chapter 1, were Lev finds the body of a dead soldier who feel from the sky. And him and a few others surround him to take a look and Lev says that he froze to death.

- This is when lev met kolya because they were put in the same cell. And kolya started talking about himself and asking lev all of these questions. kolya basically did a self introduction.
- this is when kolya and lev were about to become a canniblist dinner. they were lead there by a man who claimed he had eggs but didn't actually have any. but actaually wanted to consome them.
- this when kolya and lev found a boy who had a chicken that could lay eggs, but the chicken was skinny and scorn and had no food. but they boy gave them the chicken after some time of communication.
- this when kolya and lev saw a bunch of dead dogs and one that was somewhat alive. and kolya approached and decided to kill it so they can stop the dogs suffering
