- The Rising action is when the Hutchinson family has to do the lottery to select which one of them will be stoned to death.
- RESOLUTION
- All right folks, let's finish quickly.
- The conflict occurs when Tessie Hutchinson realizes that her husband, Bill, has picked out the paper with the black dot. she yells that it isnt fair and that Mr. Summers didnt give Bill enough time to choose the paper.
- FALLING ACTION
- Let's get this over with before its time for dinner.
- IT IS'NT FAIR, IT IS'NT RIGHT!!
- The climax of the story is when Mrs Hutchinson finds out that her name is the one with the black dot and that she is going to be stoned to death.
- RESOLUTION
- The resolution of the story is when Mrs Hutchinson gets stoned by her own friends and family. the tale comes to a gory and grim end.
- AAAHHHH
- The falling action is when Tessie screams for justice but is not given it. the townspeople want to get this incident over with before dinner and pick up the stones they had gathered earlier and form a circle around her.
