Before knowing the meaning of anthropology, I thought that Indiana Jones (the character) was a professor of anthropology. By that, I guessed that the subject was related in understanding past monuments and events of our society. Then, through the video, I learned that it is a subfield of anthropology.
I'm Dr.Jones, your archaeologist professor...
What I learn from the lesson is that anthropology is a complex interaction between human being of different nature/culture, including their costumes, economic and ecological aspects... and much more.
Hey my friend, where is the kitchen to fry the eggs that I bought in the market?
We don't have a kitchen, and we do not fired eggs.
Representation of different cultures.
My perception of anthropology really changed after the lessons. It expanded my knowledge in different aspects that I was not aware that the field explores. I was more surprised with the inclusion of the globalization we have today, which includes a considerable amount of factors that build our society (market, people interactions...) Simply is it expanded my knowledge outside the box, instead of a specific area being study (such as old monuments, as Dr. Jones teaches).
