- Hello and welcome to the world history museum! Today we are going to be looking at a new exhibit called 'What If?'
- The war on terrorism is the term that refers to an ongoing international military campaign launched by the United States government following the September 11 attacks in New York in 2001.
- What if the United States had not begun the 'War on Terrorism' in response to 9/11?
- September 11th, 2001 was and will forever be one of the most devastating days in U.S. history. 9/11 was a series of attacks on the world trade center and the pentagon by a group of terrorists, led by a man named Osama bin Laden.
- Two planes crashed into the twin towers, oneinto the pentagon and another targeting the white house but were overpowered by a group of brave civilians and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. The attacks killed over 3,000 people. Due to these devastating events, George W. Bushinitiated the ‘War on terrorism’ the war in Afghanistan.
- The war on terrorism is an ongoing international military campaign launched by the United States government because of the September 11 attacks. It was a war targeting those who seek to export terror and a war against the governments that support them. After the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, George W. Bush announced a plan to seek out and stop terrorists around the world.
