Texto do Storyboard

  • On the way home, she didn't seem very concerned. She's all about her natural remedies and she wasn't sympathetic with me like I had hoped.
  • Mom, it really hurts can we please go to the doctor?
  • Well when I was younger I just iced and rested so you should be fine with that too.
  • As I limped to my bedroom to change out of my dirty uniform, I struggled to take off the sock of my injured ankle. Softball socks are compression socks which made it almost impossible.
  • When I finally got it off, I was stunned to see that my ankle was completely deeply bruised. Every color of a bruise you could think of, mostly dark purple, some yellow and greens too. It was honestly kind of gross..
  • Hey Mom!!!
  • Jesus... This is worse than I thought...
  • When she came into my room, she was shocked that it was so colorful. I guess seeing it made her change her mind about not going to get it checked so she decided that we would go tomorrow.
  • I told you it was bad
  • It was the next day, and I was in so much more pain than before since the adrenaline wore off. My mom and I were on our way to Tria to get my ankle checked out. It was oddly silent in the car but I didn't want to talk to her anyway because I was anxious and in a lot of pain.
  • At this point, I was starting to get really upset with my mother. She should've trusted me, I didn't have any reason to lie about this. I suppress my emotions and finish the appointment without losing my patience with my mother.
  • This is the worst sprain I've ever seen! You're lucky you didn't break it!
  • Two days later...
  • I was furious. I injured it, played a whole game with it, and she even heard what the doctor said, but now this. Thankfully that was the last thing she made me do before it healed. It's been two years and I don't think it fully healed and mostly blame my mother for it. I've gotten so used to it and just put it past me.
  • What?! Mom, you know how bad my foot is! I just started walking without crutches!
  • You need to be seen by him! We can just pick you up a brace on the way there.
  • Just so you know, I already emailed Gary and said that you're going to help his team in the tournament this weekend.
