I just wanted to show you this sand dune which is a deposit of wind blown sand
Dad, why are we back in the desert?
Well look all around you this is all going to be runoff. Runoff is water that moves on the earths surface that doesn't seep into the earth.
Dad, is it raining now?!
]Ah! Here is a stream or a channel where water is constantly flowing.
It's a bit more complicated but yes!
Now on this river which is a slightly larger stream you can see it curves around. Do you know why?
Yes! Because its forming meanders which are loop like bends in a river. There caused because I think of the water flowing and hitting the edges
See that really thin lake? That's an oxbow lake or a meander cut off from its river
Now that we are at the end of the river, see that delta? A delta is landform made of deposited materials when a river flows into a larger body of water.
Wow dad this was all really cool thank you!
