Two grandsons living with there grandfather. Tending to the goats ,milking the cow and feeding the hens.

Grandpa went to the market every Saturday, where he could earn somequick money. On the way back from the market on a Saturday afternoon he got in aterrible accident with a donkey (named mirrie). The donkey went wild and collidedwith a truck. After grandpa’s accident, he had to amputate his leg.

Milton organized a work schedule for himself and Timmy so they can support themselves and grandpa.

The boys wanted to do something special for grandpa because he was depressed after his accident. They both thought of way to buy grandpa gift by creating a shall at the Christmas fair. They would sale baked goods, soup, and other things. The named of the stall is THE CLOUD!

They were able to buy the buggy for grandpa. They named the buggy after the stall ‘the cloud’, which brought them happiness for grandpa.

In the end, He had a new life which included going to the market to sell his baskets and fish pots with the buggy. For the first time since grandpa’s accident he prepares to go to church on new year’s Sunday The cloud did very well for the family, but later turned out to be ‘the cloud with the silver lining’. Sadly, grandpa died in May 1939 from pneumonia
