- The trachea transports air from the larynx to the lungs. The Bronchus is a tube that connects the trachea to each lung.
- excellent question; the nose and mouth heat, filter, and moisturize the air.
- Now, let me tell you a little bit more about the respiratory system, which is made up of the nose, mouth, trachea, bronchus, lungs, diaphragm, and alveoli.
- So, what exactly do all of those sections perform for the body?
- Lastly, there is the alveoli which is were CO2 is exchanged for O2
- Next there's the Lungs that are a sponge-like organ responsible for gas exchange, the diaphragm is a dome shaped muscle under lungs that expands and contacts to allow air in and out of the lungs
