- Vaping releases an aerosol that has nicotine flavoring and/or other toxic chemicals. Even though some flavors seem harmless, like strawberry, it still contains chemicals like diacetyl and can harm your body. Vaping releases high levels of formaldehyde, which can cause some types of cancers.

- 99% of e-cigarettes contain nicotine (even the ones that claim to be nicotine-free). Nicotine is an addictive drug that releases dopamine in your brain (thereby messing with your body’s ability to produce the chemical itself), and can cause higher blood pressure, clogging of arteries, and even heart attacks.
- Both smoking and vaping are dangerous, though vaping is slightly less harmful. While smoking leads to cancer, vaping leads to lung disease, which is equally as problematic, in that both are fatal.
