Story of Polyphemus

- Odysseus and his men decided it would be a good idea to explore Polyphemus cave, which he did not know Polyphemus would return.
- Next thing you know Polyphemus comes into the cave and he has asked what Odysseus and his men were doing here. Odysseus lied saying that his ship has crashed, but Polyphemus did not care, and kept them trapped inside the cave in which he feasted two of his men other men.
- Polyphemus has asked what was Odysseus name, but he refused to say his name. Odysseus then later on came up with a plan to stab Polyphemus with a spike in his eye, in which Polyphemus became blind.
- After Odysseus has stabbed Polyphemus in the eye with the spike, the men end up escaping with Polyphemus sheep in which Polyphemus moved the rock for his sheep to get out, but once the sheep got out, so did Odysseus and his men, in which they escaped.
- Once Odysseus and his men successfully escaped with Polyphemus ship, they head back to their ship and they sail away.
- After Polyphemus realized Odysseus and his men had escaped, he started to pray to his father Poseidon. He prayed that were ever Odysseus and his men were heading, that there should be problems, and tragedy along the way.
