Mark and Bon saw each other again when suddenly Mark stumbles and gets a cut.

What? Mitosis?

Yes! Mitosis is the one producing body cells and thats how they repair your cut, by duplicating the cells. Theyre also the responsible for your growth because how do yougrow if you cant make more cells right?lol.

Wow!!! I didnt know that.

Remember PMAT? It is the stages of mitosis division. The first step is prophase. Prophase because its the beginning step, the nucleus is still there and its going to go away later onbut this is the stage where the nucleus is still there. The chromosomes are visible; in fact, theyre condensing which means theyre thickening and visible. The next stage is Metaphase.

In this stage the chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell. The nucleus has been disassembled,so its no longer there. So weve got the chromosomes in the middle waiting there. Next is the Anaphase. The chromosomes move away, they are moving to opposite sides of the cell, so they are moving towards the poles of the cells.

It also have the spindles that helps the chromosomesto move to the ends. The last stage is the Telophase. In this stage the chromosomes are actuallyat the complete opposite ends and new nuclei are forming on each side to make these two new cells.The nuclei are starting to sorround the chromosomes on both sides. And we have the cytokinesis which is responsible for the final seperation into two cells by splitting the cytoplasm, which completes after the PMAT mitosis stages.

Wow!!!! I didnt know it was that complicated. So basically without Mitosis we wont understandhow growth and repairs happens because they both require more cells to be made right?
