  • Hello class, today we are learning about bullying, it happens to many people everyday, especially in school , so i thought i would share this with you.
  • What is bullying? Bullying is defined as unwanted, aggression among classroom students in scenarios where power shared, either physically or mentally. The act is repeated, and has the potential to be repeated, over time. Bullying victims, and those who bully others, are at risk of developing serious long-term issues. Behavior must be aggressive and have the common attributes like a power connection that Is disproportionate. Bullying activities occur several times or have the potential to occur multiple times. Bullying includes making threats, spreading rumors, physically or verbally harassing someone, and purposely excluding someone from a group.
  • What are the types and when does it occur? When someone says or writes hurtful things. Teasing, name-calling, improper sexual comments, mocking, and threatening to hurt are all examples of verbal bullying. Social bullying is when someone's reputation or connections are harmed. Physical bullying is harming a person's body or things. Social bullying includes leaving someone out on purpose, urging other children not to be friends with someone, spreading stories about someone, and humiliation in public. Hitting, kicking, pinching, pitting, tripping, shoving, removing or damaging someone's belongings, and using harsh or offensive hand gestures are all examples of physical bullying.
  • How do we prevent it?You could tell your parents, teacher, school counselor, nurse, coach, or other adults you feel comfortable telling. Make sure to tell everything that happened, including who was bullied, who the bully was, where and and when it occurred. It's also a good idea to tell if you feel a child is at risk. Most adults are aware about bullying and will be glad that you informed them. Inform another adult if you tell one adult and you don't think they're doing anything about the bullying or if the situation isn't improving. Continue to inform adults until someone steps forward to help. Being supportive of someone who has been bullied is reassuring. It demonstrates that someone, or a group of people, is concerned.
  • If you are facing bullying or know someone that has been bullied and need help, please contact The International Bullying Association(888) 966-0776 info@ibpaworld.org
