Stella doesn't understand how important acting is for Kennedy and that she does not want to go to college. Stella states that "because I gave up too much for you to flunk out of school"(Bennett 255). Her saying this is resembling how Stella's own personal life used to be. Which is why she doesn't understand why Kennedy will not stay in school.

In Chapter four Desiree thinks about the feeling she has eve though Stella isn't around anymore. She starts think about if Stella were to return home or not. It states that "and even if Stella didn't, Desiree felt closer to her here, wandering around Stella's old things. The chair where Stella sat at the table, a cornhusk doll Stella named Jane. Everywhere around the house, a door handle or blanket or couch cushion that Stella had once touched, bearing the invisible remnants of her fingerprints" (Bennett 103).

How does the character look?
Jude is someone just looking for answers. Due to her having a few holes in her identity she searches for what is missing. By doing so she ends up Kennedys wing. It says "All November, she reported to Kennedy Sanders dressing room to help her lift the big dress over her head. Then each evening she stood in the wing of the theater searching the audience for Stella. After she has already done so when she first met Kennedy to know more about Stella.
