- The virus did enter through the nose and into the upper respiratory tract, which caused a common cold! this is the first line of defence breached in the immune system
- Virus-infected interaction with the macrophages leading to a reaction in the immune response
- The antigens (green spheres) on the macrophage initiate the helper T cells (blue spheres)
- The T cells (blue spheres) activate the B cells (pink sphere) and killer T cells (blue sphere with face) the T cells are that active that they actually kill healthy cells around it
- The plasma B cells produce antibodies, which disables the pathogen (virus). some even then remember this virus and can more easily get rid of them the next time.
