- Hi George! Sorry for asking to see you this early,but i was thinking of starting a business and I don't know where to begin could you please guide me, you studied marketing didnt you?
- No problem Anna, I'm happy to help. So first you have to look at the Geographic variables, which is segmenting a market based on where customers live, ill tell you more while we walk over to the restuarant
- WOW! So what are the Geographic variables?
- ok, so there's a location which is meeting various customers'needs based on where they live. Then there's the climate. Which is segmenting a market based on the weather conditions of a particular area and lastly there's community size, which is segmenting a market based on the size of the population of a particular area, for example you wouldn't want to open a fancy restaurant where there are not a lot of people
- Wow that makes alot of sense. SO for the climate variable an example would be opening a coat or warm clothing store in places with colder weathers right?

- Yes! that's correct and for location, you would consider opening a fast food restaurant near a high school.
