hi my name is audra simpson and i was born i july 12, 1969 in quebec canada
i was born in to a family with kahnawake mohawk heritage
i began my career as an academic scholar and was teaching in cornell university and then then went into the american indian program and was there for 4 years
i graduated with my bachelor degree of arts in anthropology at concordia university and then moved to mcgill university for my masters and PHD
i pursued a teaching position at the columbia university in new york where i was teaching anthropology and throughout the years i was recognized for my research and won awards from it
now a political anthropologist and indigenous feminist who specializes in the force and consequences of governance and made the first best book in native american and indigenous prize in 2014
