- Mr.White ,the old man on the left in the chair playing chess with his son, Herbert in the right chair. Mr.White realizes that he has made a fatal mistake and was enraged. Mrs.White,the little old lady sewing in the back by the window tries to soothe her husband,Mr.White.
- Rising Action
- After the game of chess has ended they had been expecting a guest,Sergeant Morris. Upon Sergeant Morris arrival he pulls out of his coat a paw of some sort. Mr.Morris curious and a little disgusted asks him, "Monkey's paw?" he asked cuously. He nod his head yes and tells them that it had been put an curse on ny and old fakir,a very holy man, and that you have three wishes granted,
- Climax
- At the breakfast table the next morning Herbert, before leaving out for work tells his dad,don't be ravishingly greedy before I come back and then he leaves for work and then he leaves for work and then soon it become sundown
- Resolution
- Oh honey..
- That day around dinner time a man in a very nice suit was waiting around anxiously around the Whites' door and once Mrs. White noticed him she ruffled out her dressed and let him in. After their mini discussion they soon found out that their son HErbert had been in an accident at work and had been killed and the company is offering compensation of two hundred pounds.
- How much..?
- The next day the family had a funeral and as Mr.White had been sleeping he realised his wife hadn't been in the bed sleeping to whom he found her weeping outside grieving over the loss of her son.
- Mrs.White suddenly thinks of an idea. She then realises that the monkey's paw can grant you three wishes and she tells her husband to wish Herbert back and he says no but eventually wishes hi back then a few moments later they hear a slight knock on the door and then when MRs.White goes to answer the door and it is locked and she is struggling to open the door he suddenly makes a wish and then once she opens the door and runs outside he is nowhere to be found.
