- This mom named K.D got this weird phone call one day. It was a man and he called her sexually assaulting her over the phone. He kept doing this from then on. K.D also noticed she was being followed but she never knew who it was so she never said anything.
- The man was waiting in her closet. He raped her multiple times and then left. She never reported because she was so traumatized. She finally reported the case. Investigators searched all around her room for evidence. They found some underwear from that night. They found a piece of hair in the underwear. They used the piece of hair to trace down some people. They found a man named Richard Beranek. They asked K.D if it was him and she said she was pretty sure it was him.
- One of that main reasons investigators thought it was Richard was because he already had charges of sexual assault. The piece of hair also matched up with his hair. The judge sentenced him to 243 years in prison. Years later they actually found another piece of evidence showing it wasn´t him. H isn´t in prison anymore but he still did face the years of the other assaults he committed. They found the actual peron who did it but the name wasn´t released.
