the author knows a shoe maker who made his father's boots. the shoe maker lives with his elder brother in their shop. the shop was in a small street in London. their shop had a certain quiet distinction. their shop's name was Gessler brothers. only a few pair's of boots can be seen from the window. the boots were made in their own shop. the boots made in their shop fits perfectly to the author

a guttural sound, and the tip tap of his slippers beating the narrow wooden stairs and he would appear near the author in a little bent, in leather apron and blinking
soon he would come back, holding in his hand a piece of gold-brown leather and remark

and he would leave the author retiring. and he would go to the other portion of his shop (to the room). the author would continue to rest in the wooden chair inhaling the incense of his trade.
