  • Friendship
  • Loneliness
  • And... And... We gon' have rabbits George!
  • Dreams
  • Were gonna have rabbits, an alfalfa patch, a dog, and we gonna grow our own vegetables.
  • And we gon' live of the fatta of the land!
  • George and Lennie show friendship in Of Mice and Men. They show friendship by traveling together and they also have to look out for each other. George has to care for Lennie and watch out for him. Lennie cares for George a lot because George is really the only person he has. You can see that Lennie really cares for George from when Crooks was talking bad about George and Lennie got really defensive and angry. George has the hardest part in this friendship but they really only got each other.
  • Companionship
  • Puppy!
  • George killing Lennie is an example of loneliness. Lennie was Georges best friend and the only person George has. So when he killed him George probably had no one else but the few people he met recently on the ranch.
  • Powerlessness
  • THAT DOG SMELLS HORRIBLE, YOU SHOULD GET RID OF IT CANDY!
  • Lennie and George had a dream of owning a farm together and being able to live on there own. Living on their own farm was the main reason why they went to work on the ranch so they could make more money.
  • Barriers
  • Companionship could be when Lennie gets a puppy. Lennie always wanted to pet something and George got him a puppy since he is less likely to kill it.
  • Powerlessness is when Candy couldnt do anything about Carlson shooting his dog. All though Candy was saying that he wants to keep his dog no one would stop Carlson from doing what he wanted.
  • Lennie could be considered a barrier because he always gets them into trouble and that stops them from achieving their dream of owning a farm.
