  • Hello grandchildren, your grandmother and I have missed you dearly! Follow me so I can show you to our family land.
  • Hey, we missed y'all! We'd love that, where to first?
  • And good thing you asked! We can calculate it by using Heron's Formula. Because the tree by me is 45 ft from the windmill, and distance between the trees are 25 ft and you are 30 ft from the windmill.
  • This is the field my granddad would take me to and pass around a football. Go far, we will play!
  • Okay! I wonder what the area between us and the windmill is.
  • Let me go show you my favorite spot.
  • Of course, works for me!
  • By using Heron's Formula, it will allow up to find the area between you, me, and the windmill. First, you will calculate the 's' which is s=a+b+c/2. Once you plug in and solve, you get 50. Which is then immediately plugged into A=square root of s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c), which solves to an area of 433.01 sq. ft.

  • Dang! That's amazing. Also, can we stay a play more and meet up with the girls tonight?
  • 30 feet
  • That sounds so special, I can only hope I'm next to have my wedding here!
  • My favorite place is the Gazebo my parents got married in as well as me. During the weddings the photographer was able to figure out the perfect angle for photos was 54 degrees. Which, also happens to be the angle of elevation for it, if you are standing where he stood, which was precisely 7 feet away.
  • Well if we took my distance from the Gazebo, which is 7 ft, We can use tangent ratio to find the height.Set it up as tan(54)=height/7. 7tan(38)=height, heigh=10ft.

  • This is beautiful! I wonder how tall this is?
  • Well, it was great having y'all!
  • I wish we could stay longer, but we really should get going.
  • Hope you see you guys again soon!
  • I had so much fun today. Thank you so much for everything!
  • Hey, we missed y'all! We'd love that, where to first?
