- In warsaw there were strikers who demanded that the czar abdicate. The Jews might settle down in Palestine again.
- Berl and his wife sit quietly in their small home. Berl fills his wife in on surrounding events. Both are very old and miss their son Samuel.
- Oh how I wonder how Samuel is doing right now. It is so boring here and nothing much ever happens.
- I can't believe it's actually you! What are you doing here!
- I never thought I could live to see this. Now I am happy to die.
- Samuel walks in his parents house unannounced after not seeing them for so long. His parents don't even believe it is him at first.
- Hello mother, hello father, it is I, Samuel!
- Oh son! How you've come at the perfect time. I am in need of lots of help.
- After being flabbergasted, Samuel's parents finally accept the fact they have reunited with their son. Berlcha starts crying, and realizes she has lots of work to do and needs to prepare for Sabbath the next day.
- Don't worry mother. I have lots of baking experience. I can help you prepare and would love to help.
